Secondo l'organizzazione European Best Destinations, nel 2020 le Azzorre sono tra le migliori destinazioni sostenibili in Europa e anche tra le più sicure,
distinguendosi per le misure di tutela che offrono alla popolazione e ai turisti.

Alle Azzorre la diffusione del nuovo Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) è sempre stata sotto controllo,
grazie all'implementazione di pratiche di sicurezza molto strette e all'obbligo per tutti i visitatori di esibire un test molecolare negativo (tampone)
prima di imbarcarsi per le Azzorre stesse.
Fai il test e poi goditi davvero la tua vacanza.
Per imbarcarsi con destinazione Azzorre occorre esibire un test negativo di tipo RT-PCR (molecolare, da non confondersi con il test sierologico).
E' necessario mostrare il certificato del test in aeroporto, prima dell'imbarco sul volo che atterrerà alle Azzorre.
Inoltre, il test per il virus SARS-CoV-2 dovrà essere effettuato nelle 72 ore precedenti l'imbarco ed essere ancora valido al momento dell'atterraggio.
La soluzione più comoda e facile è fare il test prima di partire per la vacanza.
Esiste comunque anche una seconda opzione, quella di effettuare il test gratuitamente in Portogallo continentale (per esempio, a Lisbona)
prima di imbarcarsi per le Azzorre.
Per soggiorni superiori a una settimana, un secondo test gratuito è richiesto al sesto giorno di permanenza alle Azzorre.
Non è necessario attendere il risultato del secondo test per continuare a godersi la propria vacanza.

New "Covid-19" cancellation policies

Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? We do, and we believe we will soon be able to relax a little bit. Meanwhile, we relaxed our cancellation policies ;-)
In response to the new coronavirus pandemic (SARS-CoV-2) and the uncertainties that derive from it, we have decided to relax some of our cancellation policies. We hope this can make your booking and travelling more of a hassle-free experience for you, your family and friends.
If you cancel more than 30 days before check-in date
You will enjoy a free cancellation, thus receiving a full refund of whatever amount of money you already paid to us.
If you cancel 30 days or less before check-in date
The reason for your cancellation must be one of the following:
Travel restrictions have intervened within the 30-day timeframe, so that you are objectively unable to reach Pico.
You and/or somebody travelling to Pico with you have tested positive to SARS-CoV-2 virus or are subject to quarantine.
You booked an activity-only package (no accommodation)
OPTION 1. You get an 80% refund in money, calculated on the amount you already paid to us.
OPTION 2. You get a 100% voucher, covering the full amount you paid to us, valid for 2 years and freely transferable.
You booked a package with an accommodation that applies our "Covid-19" policy
OPTION 1. You can get an 80% refund in money, calculated on the amount you already paid to us.
OPTION 2. You can get a 100% voucher, covering the full amount you paid to us, valid for 2 years and freely transferable.
You booked a package with an accommodation that does NOT apply our "Covid-19" policy
OPTION 1. You can get an 80% refund in money for the amount you paid to us for the activities, but not for the accommodation.
A partial refund for the accommodation, if applicable, will be calculated based on the cancellation policy applied by the company that owns the accommodation.
OPTION 2. You can get a 100% voucher that covers the full amount you paid to us for the activities, but NOT for the accommodation. A partial voucher for the accommodation, if applicable, will be issued based on the cancellation policy applied by the company that owns the accommodation.

Se da un lato è naturale augurarsi che la stagione 2021 non sia influenzata dal Covid-19, i protocolli e le misure adottate dalle Azzorre nel 2020 hanno già dimostrato a operatori e turisti che una vacanza in una destinazione sicura come Pico è pienamente percorribile e soddisfacente,
unendo la sicurezza a una salutare boccata di normalità.
Purtroppo, nel 2020 l'emergenza causata dal nuovo Coronavirus ha completato cancellato la nostra stagione delle Balenottere e, con essa,
il progresso dei nostri progetti di ricerca su di esse. Ora che a Pico è stato messo a punto un sistema per svolgere le nostre attività in tutta sicurezza,
sarebbe bello fare della stagione 2021 la migliore di sempre!
